Back to the races. One hour and 123 calories burned, DDR ftw. Weigh-in for the first day of school is 210.3. I expect to be 160 by the end of the year.
So it’s been awhile since I last wrote, or exercised. Things got a little crazy with getting ready for school, finding a condo and my roomate moving out of the appartment. On the upside, I was able to track my weight and my diet has stabilized. Right now I’ve been holding steady at 206-208 for the last 3 weeks. I’m not ready to start my plan full tim just yet, but I’m getting ready; moving up to the starting line, as it were.
Hopefully I’ll be putting a contract in on a place next week, as I’ll be deciding which I liked the best this weekend. School starts on the 20th, and I’m sure that will throw my schedule into wacky mode. Until then, I’m going to try to finish off some of my other goals.
So I started the day at 216, but after almost 2 hours of DDR I managed to burn off .6 lbs of what I assume can only be water weight. I think my body has caught up to my workout, and started storing more energy. That, or I built a crapton of muscle over the weekend. I think I am going to reduce my caloric intake starting this week and see if that speeds the process along a bit.
These are possibly the funniest essays ever written. I laughed so hard I cried, and the last time that happened was the Borat Movie.
Another blissful hour of DDR has gone by along with 221 more calories. I was 193.2 beforehand, but now I think my scale may be fudged. It wants to tell me I’m 198.0 now. :O
I’ve added a section for my music. I’ll put some real work into it at some point, and you can look there to find new pieces that I write.
I have achieved the impossible and actually gained weight durring an aerobic session of DDR. Actually it’s not that surprising, going from 194.2 to 196.0 in the span of an hour. It’s probably my body’s response to last night’s strength training. I’m building muscle as we speak; which, as you know, weighs more than fat. I think the ups and downs of weight loss are probably what discourage most people from trying. That, or they “rack diseprine.” The later is probably far more likely, given the state of our wonderful world at the moment. I mean, if we can blame McDonalds for making us fat, it’s obviously not our responsability to excercise and make healthy dietary choices.
Welcome to our world. All rights, no responsibilities.
I need to start taking pictures of myself daily so I can do one of those fancy vids of me losing weight. I just got back from the gym, and the first anerobic workout session of the season. Working upper body only is a great way to put yourself in pain on your first visit, by the way. On the up side I weighed in at 194.8 afterwards so I call my progression overall a win so far. Just for my own accountability, here is my workout schedule from now on:
- Monday: Lifting (Strength training), upper body only
- Tuesday: DDR, at least 1 hour
- Wednesday: Lifting (Strength training), lower body only
- Thursday: DDR, at least 1 hour
- Friday: Lifting (High Rep, fat burning), full body
- Saturday: REST
- Sunday: REST
I may amp things up a bit once I have more endurance. For now, I’m most interested in simply establishing a pattern that won’t burn me out too quickly. I want my Abs, damnit.
Well, I just finished another riveting hour of DDRmax2. I did a harder routine this time, and burned over 300 calories. Now I will bring the shock and awe: I weighed in at 198.4 before the workout, and 198.0 afterwards.
As an aside, I wear the same workout clothes everyday so that my weights will be as accurate as possible. I try to work out somewhere from 1 to 2pm, depending on when I eat lunch. So far everything is going pretty well. I think I have about another 20 pounds of easy weight left on me. After that, it will take more varied routines and more intense cardio to burn as much. I’m planning on starting the lifting next week, so hopefully that will help out my upper body a little. I’m not stopping all of this until I have a 6 pack. ![]()
I just finished another round of DDR. Today I played extreme 2 for an hour on dance master mode, so I don’t have any callorie info for that time. But I cooled down on DDR Max2 for about 30 minutes, burning another 260 callories or so. I weighed in at 211.8lbs before workout and 211.6 afterwards. Not bad for a few days of this. The hard parts are yet to come. Next week I’ll add in lifting, and then probably swimming sometime after that.
